1. Who is iFixPhones?
We are part of Principal Computers, an IT sales/support company with over 10 years in the business and 4 branches. You can check us out at www.principalcomputers.com.au. We do all of our iPhone repairs out of the ACT branch as iPhone repairs are very specialised and require specific skills.
2. Why are your prices cheaper than other phone shops?
By specialising in iPhone repairs, our staff can repair iPhones faster and more efficiently than many of our competitors. We also charge a fair price on the time it takes to do our service work, costing you less. Please also note many phone shops send us their repairs, so it may be that your local store is sending it to us to be repaired and putting their profit on top.
3. Does getting my iPhone repaired void my warranty?
If we replace your glass/digitizer, home button, or LCD it will not void your warranty as we use genuine Apple parts. If we are replacing other items such as the battery or dock connector or headphone jack or the housing the warranty may be void as the warranty sticker needs to be removed to access these areas during the repair.
4. Are your parts genuine Apple parts?
The glass/digitizers and LCDs we use are original Apple parts. For battery replacements and housing we use generic parts as originals are not available.
5. Australia Post says I can't send my phone express post as it has a battery?
Australia Post requires that you send electronic devices with the dry cell battery removed from the product. We assume this is to stop issues with phones ringing or alarms going off. As it is impossible to easily remove the battery from your iPhone we suggest turning your phone off properly and purchasing the express post bag over the counter and dropping your bag directly into the Express Post bin.
6. I have purchased parts of EBAY, can you help me fit them?
We are happy to fit parts purchased elsewhere, however if the parts do not work or fail for reasons other than bad workmanship on our behalf we will not guarantee with our normal 12 month guarantee. Many or maybe even most so called geniune Apple iPhone parts sold on eBay are actually copies. It is always our preference to use our own parts as we can control the quality of our work.
